About this test
Think of one connection and the last few weeks. Rate what has actually happened, not what you hope it means. If something has not happened, choose Not true. A reflection tool, not a verdict on another person or a prediction. Only a mutual conversation can establish a relationship agreement.
Methodology
16 original reflection items on a five-point scale. Each item adds 0–4 points to one of five patterns. Weights of 3 for four Almost official items and 4 for each other pattern’s three items give every pattern a maximum of 48. The highest total wins; ties favour Time to talk, then Confusing loop, Casual and fine, Situationship and Almost official. No pattern is a diagnosis or a probability.

FAQ + disclaimer
Am I in a situationship?
People often use situationship for a romantic connection without a shared label or direction. This quiz reflects your answers; it cannot know the other person’s intentions.
Situationship or relationship: what is the difference?
A shared agreement matters more than a photo, a label or constant messaging. Talk about what you want, what commitment means and whether you are exclusive.
Can a “what are we” quiz tell me how they feel?
No. It can help you put your experience into words and choose a question to ask. Their own words and consistent actions provide information a quiz cannot.
Is a casual connection always a situationship?
Not necessarily. A casual arrangement can be clear and mutually wanted. This quiz separates that from wanting clarity you have not agreed on.
How do I ask what we are without pressure?
Try: “I enjoy this and want to understand what we both want.” Ask about labels, plans and exclusivity separately; leave room for an honest answer, including a different one from yours.
