About this test

Think of one person and the past two weeks. Rate what is true for you, including the last four statements about balance. This works for any gender. A reflection tool, not a diagnosis, proof of love or a reading of someone else’s feelings. Respect their boundaries and privacy. If thoughts cause ongoing distress, consider qualified support.

Methodology

16 original Likert items. Items 1–12 add value minus 1; items 13–16 add 5 minus value. Each of four interleaved dimensions has a maximum of 16, and S totals 0–64. Bands: 0–15 Love grounded; 16–31 Healthy crush energy; 32–47 Strong limerence; 48–64 Obsessive loop. These editorial bands are not validated severity cutoffs.

FAQ + disclaimer
Am I obsessed with him, or do I just like him?

Notice the cost to your day: repeated checking, unwanted thoughts and a mood tied to replies can signal a need for balance. This quiz reflects your experience and works for any gender; it cannot diagnose obsession.

Is this a limerence quiz or limerence test?

It is an informal limerence reflection quiz about idealization, uncertainty and repeated attention. It is not a validated assessment and cannot say whether you have a condition.

Am I in love or obsessed?

Affection can include excitement while leaving room for reality, boundaries and your own life. Intensity alone cannot establish love, and feelings can overlap; the result is a starting point for reflection.

How is this obsession quiz scored?

Twelve loop items add 0–4 points each. Four balance items are reversed: stronger balance adds fewer points. The 0–64 total selects a descriptive band; it is not a severity rating.

How can I stop checking their socials so much?

Try muting updates for a set period and putting your phone away during one activity you enjoy. Respect their privacy and boundaries; if the pattern keeps disrupting your life, consider support from someone you trust or a qualified professional.
