About this test
A playful quiz about how you spend time, make decisions and respond to everyday situations. Your answers map to one of four mindset labels, from young at heart to old soul. The approximate ages name those patterns; they do not measure intelligence, brain age or maturity. Use the descriptions to notice preferences and start a conversation, and compare them with examples that do not fit.
Methodology
Each of the 20 questions maps your chosen answer to an "age" value; we sum your choices across the quiz and assign one of four playful archetypes based on the total. This is a scoring heuristic built for entertainment and self-reflection — it is not a validated psychometric scale, and it does not use the historical mental-age/IQ formula (mental age ÷ chronological age × 100) in any clinical sense.
What the result types mean
The age labels are fictional shorthand for four patterns in your answers. They do not estimate brain age or rank how mature you are.
- Mental age: ~24
- This young-at-heart result reflects enthusiasm for novelty, activity and spontaneous choices. Notice where that energy helps you try things, and where a little planning would make those experiences easier. The number is a playful label, not an age measurement.
- Mental age: ~34
- The balanced result combines enjoying the moment with considering what comes next. You may switch between acting and reflecting depending on the situation. Look for examples of both habits rather than expecting yourself to maintain a perfect middle ground.
- Mental age: ~45
- The reflective result points towards pausing, considering consequences and valuing perspective. That can help with thoughtful decisions, while some situations invite a quicker experiment. It describes preferences in these answers, not superior judgement or a later life stage.
- Mental age: ~58
- The old-soul result emphasises depth, lasting interests and familiar ways of doing things. You might appreciate continuity without needing every new trend. That preference can coexist with curiosity; the label does not mean you are old or unable to change.
How to use your result
Start with a situation you recognise, then choose one useful step:
- Recall one recent decision that fits your result and one that does not.
- Try a small change: plan one spontaneous outing, or leave some space in a busy schedule.
- Compare the descriptions with a friend without treating the age labels as a maturity ranking.

FAQ + disclaimer
How accurate is this mental age test?
It summarises the answers you choose using a playful scoring rule. It has no established accuracy as a measure of age, intelligence or maturity; use the description only where it fits your experience.
Is this a scientific mental age assessment?
No. This is a self-reflection quiz, not a validated psychological or cognitive assessment. Its age labels are entertainment, not clinical mental-age scores.
Can my result change?
Yes. Your routines, mood and circumstances can change your answers. A different label does not mean your mind has aged or become younger.
Is mental age the same as IQ?
No. This quiz does not test reasoning ability or calculate IQ. Its approximate ages are names for mindset patterns, not measurements to compare with your birthday.
