About this test
Not what you've done — what you're drawn to. Twenty-four statements about heat, control, attention and touch score you across six kink archetypes and return the one you lean into hardest. It covers the mild end (Vanilla+) as seriously as the BDSM end (Power Play, Devotion), because "no kinks" isn't a real answer — everyone's interest has a shape. Adults only, and a conversation starter with a partner rather than a label to live under.
Methodology
24 items, 4 per archetype, 5-point Likert. Dominant-archetype scoring across six kink-energy types. Self-report only: it measures what appeals to you, not what you've done.
Possible archetypes
- Vanilla+ · Eye-contact kink
- No costume. No script. Just eye contact and a long Tuesday. Devastating.
- Sensory · Blindfold-curious
- You'd let someone trace your forearm with silk and call it a love language.
- Power Play · Tell me what to do
- 'In charge' or 'clearly not' — anything in between bores you. We've heard.
- Watching · Put a mirror up
- A mirror in the right spot does more for you than 30 minutes of dirty talk.
- Roleplay · Stranger at the bar
- You'd rather meet your partner as strangers in a hotel bar. Tonight, ideally.
- Devotion · Watch them dissolve
- You're not into giving — you're into watching them dissolve. Difference.

FAQ + disclaimer
What is a kink test?
A self-report quiz that asks what you're drawn to — intensity, control, attention, touch — and names the pattern. This one uses 24 statements and returns one of six archetypes. It reads preference, not experience: you can score Power Play having never tried it.
Is this a BDSM kink test?
Partly. Two of the six archetypes — Power Play and Devotion — sit squarely in BDSM territory (control, surrender, service), and Sensory overlaps with it. The other three don't. So it's a kink test that covers BDSM, not a BDSM-only test.
What's the difference between a kink and a fetish?
Roughly: a kink is a preference that makes sex better, while a fetish is a specific object, body part or scenario that's closer to a requirement for arousal. This quiz maps the shape your interest takes rather than cataloguing individual fetishes.
Is the kink quiz free?
Yes. Twenty-four questions, about three minutes, no sign-up and no email.
Do I have to be 18?
Yes — this is adult content, for people 18 and over. Everything it describes assumes consenting adults, and consent isn't one of the things the result gets to override.
Is "vanilla+" a real kink?
Yes — "no kinks" isn't real. Vanilla+ names a deliberate preference for slow, simple, eye-contact heat.
Should both partners take it?
Yes — mismatched archetypes are some of the loudest bedroom tension and very fixable when both know.
