About this test
A 16-statement crush quiz about what YOU feel toward someone, not about what they feel. Four areas, four statements each: what is on your mind (thoughts that keep coming back), butterflies (your body around them), pull toward them (looking for them, hoping for a message) and daydreams (imagining things together). You answer from Never to Always, and your answers become a Crush Score from 0 to 100 and one of four bands: Just a friend, Curious, Crushing or Head over heels. If you have been asking "do you like your crush or the idea of them", this gives you a calm way to sort it out. It is self-reflection, not a diagnosis, and every feeling is allowed: a crush can be small, big, short or slow.
Methodology
16 self-report items, 4 per area (thoughts, bodily reactions, pull toward the person, daydreams), rated on a 5-point frequency scale from Never to Always. Crush Score = round((mean - 1) / 4 x 100), reported in four bands (0-34, 35-59, 60-79, 80-100). An original, informal instrument that draws on general themes from the research on attraction and infatuation; it is not a validated scale or a diagnosis, and it describes only what the visitor reports about themselves.
Possible archetypes
- Just a friend · Warm, but not a crush
- Right now this looks more like friendship or admiration than a crush.
- Curious · Something is stirring
- There is a spark of interest, but you are not sure yet what it is.
- Crushing · Definitely a crush
- Most signs point to a real crush: they are on your mind and your heart notices them.
- Head over heels · Fully swept away
- You are deep in it: they are on your mind, in your body and in your plans.

FAQ + disclaimer
Can a quiz tell me if I have a crush?
It can help you notice. This quiz turns what you feel into a Crush Score and shows which areas stand out: thoughts, butterflies, pull or daydreams. Only you know what you feel, and a score is a mirror, not a verdict.
Do you like your crush, or just the idea of them?
Look at whether your interest is in the real person, with their quirks and bad days, or in a story you have built. If you want to know them better and your feelings survive ordinary moments, it is probably more than an idea. The Daydreams bar can help: a high bar with low scores elsewhere suggests imagination is leading.
How is the score calculated?
You answer 16 statements from Never (1) to Always (5). The score is your average rescaled to 0-100: round((average - 1) / 4 x 100). Just a friend is 0-34, Curious 35-59, Crushing 60-79 and Head over heels 80-100. The four bars show each area on the same 0-100 scale.
Is it normal to have a crush and not want a relationship?
Yes. A crush is a feeling of attraction or admiration, and what you do with it is entirely up to you. You can enjoy it quietly, let it fade, or choose to say something. None of those is wrong.
What should I do after I get my result?
Keep it kind and low-pressure. If you want to know whether they feel the same, our "Does my crush like me?" quiz looks at the signals you have noticed from them. Whatever you find out, respect their answer and their boundaries.
