Big Five personality model

Introversion

Introversion is the low end of the Big Five Extraversion trait. It describes people who recover energy in solitude and find sustained social stimulation draining.

Introversion is not shyness, not social anxiety, and not lack of social skill. Introverts can be confident public speakers, enjoy parties, and have many close friends — they simply need solitude afterwards to recharge.
