O tym teście

A 24-item self-report quiz that maps you to one of six spending archetypes inspired by published "money script" research (Klontz et al. 2011): Saver, Spender, Investor, Status Buyer, Giver and Money Avoider. Each archetype is measured by 4 items on a 5-point Likert scale. The point isn't to grade you — it's to surface your underlying script so you (and your partner) can see why money feels the way it does.

Jak liczymy wynik

24 self-report items (4 per archetype) on a 5-point Likert scale. Inspired by published "money script" research (Klontz, Britt, Mentzer & Klontz 2011) — the six-archetype framing is a synthesis, not a single official instrument.

What the result types mean

The six labels describe motives and habits, not financial expertise or financial health. A person can recognise several patterns, and available choices depend on circumstances as well as preferences.

Saver
You tend to value a buffer, predictability and the reassurance of keeping money available. Consider whether your habits support your priorities or sometimes make it hard to enjoy spending you already planned. The label does not establish that you have enough savings.
Spender
You tend to see money as a way to enjoy experiences, purchases or the present moment. Notice which choices remain satisfying afterwards and which are more impulsive. The result describes a preference, not proof that you overspend or can afford a purchase.
Investor
You tend to think about the future and enjoy researching ways money might grow. Consider whether that attention leaves room for present needs and uncertainty. This label does not measure investing skill, predict returns or recommend taking financial risks.
Status Buyer
You notice quality, brands or what a purchase communicates to other people. Ask which features you personally value and which expectations come from comparison. The label is a prompt to examine motives, not permission to stretch beyond what you can afford.
Giver
You enjoy using money to help or treat other people. Consider whether generosity feels freely chosen and fits your own needs and commitments. Setting a limit or declining a request can coexist with caring about someone.
Money Avoider
You tend to put off checking balances, opening bills or discussing money when it feels uncomfortable. Choose one small task that makes the situation clearer, and consider asking for practical support. The label does not explain why avoidance happens or judge your capability.

How to use your result

Start with a situation you recognise, then choose one useful step:

  • Recall a recent money choice and identify the need or feeling behind it.
  • Review one concrete habit, such as when you check bills or decide on optional purchases.
  • If discussing the result with a partner, compare priorities without assigning blame or fixed roles.
  • For decisions about debt, budgets or investments, use your actual circumstances and appropriate qualified advice.

Najczęstsze pytania + informacja
How accurate is my spending personality?

It summarises the motives you report, which may differ from what your transactions show. It cannot measure financial health, affordability or how you will behave in every situation.

Is this a scientific money assessment?

No. It is a self-reflection quiz inspired by ideas about money beliefs. Its six informal archetypes are not a validated instrument or a professional financial assessment.

Can my spending personality change?

Yes. Income, commitments, habits and priorities can change, as can your answers. Several types may feel familiar at the same time.

Does the result tell me how to invest or budget?

No. The quiz does not assess your full financial circumstances and does not recommend products, investment strategies or a specific budget. Use it to notice habits and questions you want to explore.

Can I use it with my partner?

Yes, if you both want to. Discuss a real example and a shared priority rather than using a label to decide who is right or who should control the money.
