O tym teście
This self-report reflection is built around Daniel Goleman's widely used four-domain model of emotional intelligence — Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management. Answer 24 honest statements, six per domain, and see which one scores highest as your archetype. It is a fast self-reflection snapshot rather than a full EQ profile: it reports your single strongest domain, not scores across all four, and it is not a validated instrument like the MSCEIT or EQ-i 2.0, which are administered and scored by trained professionals.
Jak liczymy wynik
24 self-report items, 6 per Goleman EQ domain (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Management), balanced between forward- and reverse-keyed. Each answer on a 5-point Likert scale contributes –2 to +2 to the target domain. The domain with the highest total determines the result archetype; this quiz reports one dominant domain, not a full four-score profile, and is not the validated MSCEIT or EQ-i 2.0.

Najczęstsze pytania + informacja
What is emotional intelligence (EQ)?
Emotional intelligence is the ability to notice, understand and manage emotions — your own and other people's — and use that information to guide thinking and behaviour. The term was popularised by psychologist Daniel Goleman in the 1990s, building on earlier academic work by Peter Salovey and John Mayer.
What are the 4 EQ domains?
Daniel Goleman's model splits emotional intelligence into Self-Awareness (knowing your own emotions), Self-Management (regulating them), Social Awareness (reading others, empathy) and Relationship Management (handling interactions). This test gives one archetype based on your strongest domain.
How is this test scored?
Each of the 24 items loads on one of the four EQ domains. Forward-keyed items add positive points; reverse-keyed items subtract. The domain with the highest total becomes your dominant domain and your result archetype — the test reports that one domain, not a full four-score profile.
Is this a clinical or validated EQ test?
No. This is a self-report EQ indicator for reflection and entertainment, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument. Validated instruments like the MSCEIT (Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test) or EQ-i 2.0 are administered and scored by trained professionals and take considerably longer.
Can emotional intelligence be improved?
Most researchers and practitioners treat EQ as more trainable than fixed traits like personality — skills such as naming an emotion before reacting to it, or checking your read of someone else's mood before acting on it, can be practised deliberately. See our guide on improving emotional intelligence for concrete exercises.
How long does the emotional intelligence test take?
About 4 minutes for the 24 statements.
Is emotional intelligence more important than IQ?
They measure different things and are not directly comparable. IQ relates to cognitive reasoning ability; EQ relates to self-regulation and interpersonal skill. Research links strong EQ to better relationships and workplace outcomes, but it does not replace or outrank IQ — the two are typically studied as complementary, not competing.
What is a good EQ score?
This quiz does not produce a numeric EQ score to compare against a population norm — it names your strongest of four domains. If you want a standardised numeric score, that requires a validated instrument like the EQ-i 2.0 administered by a certified professional.
