Über diesen Test

A 10-item short form combining Diener's Satisfaction With Life Scale (5 items), three items from the Flourishing Scale and two positive-affect items adapted from the PANAS. All items are rated on a 7-point agreement scale and summed for a 10–70 score.

Methode

This self-reflection quiz combines five Satisfaction With Life Scale items, three Flourishing Scale items and two adapted positive-affect items. Its combined total and four result bands are original to this quiz, not a validated clinical assessment. Research on the source scales does not establish the accuracy of this combined version.

What the result types mean

The four labels describe bands of this quiz’s combined answer total. They are prompts for reflection, not diagnoses, population rankings or separate kinds of person.

Weathering the Storm
Your answers describe less contentment, meaning or engagement at the moment. Read this as an invitation to name what feels difficult and what support would be useful. It does not explain the cause of those feelings or diagnose a condition.
Finding Your Footing
Your answers suggest a mixed picture: some parts of life may feel supportive while others need attention. Try separating those areas rather than reducing everything to one score. A change in one practical circumstance may matter more to you than the overall label.
Steadily Satisfied
Your answers describe feeling mostly content, engaged and connected to a sense of meaning. Consider which relationships, routines or opportunities contribute to that experience. You can appreciate what is working while still recognising frustrations and asking for help when needed.
Flourishing
Your answers strongly endorse contentment, purpose and enthusiasm in this combined quiz. Notice the conditions that make those feelings possible and how you might protect them. This label does not require constant happiness or establish that every area of life is going well.

If low mood or distress persists or affects daily life, consider speaking with a qualified mental health professional or your doctor.

How to use your result

Start with a situation you recognise, then choose one useful step:

  • Name one part of life that feels supportive and one you would like to improve.
  • Choose a manageable action, such as arranging company or making time for an activity you value.
  • If you revisit the quiz, compare your circumstances and individual answers as well as the label.
  • Keep the result private if comparison with other people would feel unhelpful.

Häufige Fragen + Hinweis
How accurate is this life satisfaction test?

It reflects how you answer today, including how you interpret the questions. This combined quiz has no established accuracy as a clinical assessment or as a prediction of future wellbeing.

Is this quiz scientific?

It draws on published life satisfaction, flourishing and positive affect scales, but combines and adapts them. This version is a self-reflection quiz; research on the source scales does not validate its combined score or four labels.

Can my result change?

Yes. Life events, support, health and your interpretation of the questions can affect your answers. A single result is a snapshot, not a permanent judgement.

Is life satisfaction the same as happiness?

Not exactly. Judging your life overall differs from enjoying a particular moment. This quiz also asks about purpose and enthusiasm, so consider which answers shaped your result.

Does a low result mean I have depression?

No. A quiz result cannot diagnose depression or rule it out. If you are worried about how you feel, speak with a qualified professional regardless of the label.
